Confused

Well this week has been one long confused state of mind, I started off the week thinking that I wanted to do some rustic autumnal colour pallettes, I did 2 small ones, then changed my mind and decided I wanted light pale colours with some bright in there, I did 1 then decided I wanted to do all bright colours, I did 4 bright coloured ones but felt they weren't really 'me' *sigh*....oh the joys of having a crazy artsy brain eh?

Well anyway here are the paintings from this week's confused state of mind, I hope you like them :o)

I love the colour of this kitty, in my newest paint colour....Liquitex - turquoise deep ...yummy!!

Wilma's blue cat:

This girly reminds me of someone, but I can't think who and it's driving me crazy, is it someone I know? someone famous?....I just can't figure it out, lol

Janice:

I've been trying out some new colour combinations, I really like this blue and yellow together.

She dreams of far away places: SOLD THANK YOU!!

Sadie looks like a heap of fun, I love her dress and after I painted this I really felt an urge to eat spicy food lol ;o)

Sadie's dance class: SOLD THANK YOU!!

There is so much I love about this painting, even though it doesn't feel like 'me' I love it anyway.

Paradise:

This lady popped in my head yesterday and demanded to be painted immediately, she was quite amusing and I like to call her......

Bossy Brenda:

This is my favourite of the week, even though she is small she packs a punch with her unusual colour palette, I just love her face :o)

Sofia ornament:

Sofia close up:

Well I hope you enjoyed my weekly update, all the above paintings are now available in my etsy shop, if you wish to purchase, or just to look at more piccies ;o)

Weekly update time :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments on my last post, I love the new look banner and avatar and i'm glad you do too ;o)

There are definately not as many paintings this week as last week (I think last weeks amount would be hard to top) but they are all equally as lovely :o)
6 very different types of girls all on flat canvas boards and all available in my Etsy shop now.

This first painting is my favourite of the week, I just love her face and the colour palette, she makes me smile :o)

Fly Free:

This one took ages to paint, it has all kinds of textures in it and I have to say I love this colour palette, I can feel Autumn creeping in more and more into my paintings.
The words in this girl's hair say : My spirits were lifted as I began to walk through the fields collecting wildflowers, with the wind flowing through my hair and the sounds of nature all around.

It's a beautiful day: SOLD THANK YOU!!

I keep painting coffee loving girls, I just can't help myself, I love my coffee nearly as much as I love to paint ;o)

Morning Coffee: SOLD THANK YOU!!

This girl has a funny whimsical look about her, she's also got a ton of interesting textures going on, especially in her face, she was fun to work on.

Curious:

This girly has lots of colour going on.

Where there's a heart there's a home:

And last but not least this wintery girl on a teeny canvas board

Winter Dreaming:

See you next week

Time for a change

With the help of my lovely hubby I just changed over my blog/etsy/flickr banners and avatars to something a little more fun, I only made this painting a week or so ago and she sold pretty much straight away, I didn't have much of a chance to get to know her, so I thought I would use her here.

I hope you like the change :o)

Weekly HUGE update time :)

Grab yourself a drink of your choice for this post, it's a biggy ;o)

Well it's been a very productive week this week, the weather has been pants so we stayed in most days and I got lots and lots of painting done :o)

12 in one week

I love this lady she's in my favourite (at the moment) colour scheme
Seed pods A5 on flat canvas board:

The colours on this painting are so happy I just had to call her Joy, the colours remind me of refresher sweets or tutti frutti's....not sure if you get them in other countries but when I was little I loved those sweeties :o)
Joy A5 on flat canvas board:

This little lady is in super bright pink neon, so no scanning for this painting, she is actually way brighter than the piccies show.
Rose cottage A5 on flat canvas board:

After using lots of bright colours I decided to strip back and go for a more pale pallete, this girl has a lot of layers going on.
A conversation with an owl 5x7 inches on canvasboard:

This one was made after baking cakes with my daughter mid week, I love baking with her.
Mothers Kitchen 8x6 inches on chunky canvas: SOLD THANK YOU!!

A slightly Autumnul feeling painting in my second favourite colour palette (at the moment.....remember I am totally fickle, I change my mind a lot)
Nurture 6x6 inch chunky canvas:

After getting seriously annoyed at the amount of sales calls I was getting this week I was amused to find this lady popping onto the canvas ready to be painted, she's pretty quirky and I love her :o)
Distractions 6x6 inch canvas board: SOLD THANK YOU!!

I only managed to get one fridge magnet painted this week but Beryl is a whole heap of fun in super bright colours:
Beryl fridge magnet: SOLD THANK YOU!!

My son thinks this little aceo looks like Dolores Umbridge from the Harry Potter films, I like to call her Ursula :o)
Ursula aceo card:

I seriously love this little girl, she is so much fun and I am loving this Autumnul colour pallette again :o)
Louisa aceo card: SOLD THANK YOU!!

Mary is a little fairy girl, she looked a little sad so I painted her in blues.
Mary Aceo card:

Miriam is the last of the paintings for sale this week, and is in that funky Autumnul palette again :o)
Miriam Aceo card: SOLD THANK YOU!!

As if I hadn't been busy enough I also painted up the cover for my new moleskine daily waffling to myself diary :o) I may make a few more to put in my Etsy shop sometime next week.
My new moleskine daily diary:

And last but not least (in actual fact she was the first painted this week) I painted up the commission painting that Esther won all those weeks ago in my blog giveaway.
Between her being on holiday then me away, it has taken a while to get round to painting this one but we got there in the end and she is now winging her way over to Esther as we speak.
Giveaway prize for Esther:

So thats me done for this week...PHEW!!
I will be listing the above paintings for sale Today and Sunday.....6 each day so keep an eye out for them in my Etsy shop.

Have an awesome weekend everyone, see you again next week :o)

Weekly update

Hello bloggy friends, I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer holidays? (well those of you that aren't mid winter at the moment anyway)

It has been a week filled with random incidents here in the Wilde household: Wasp flying into son's eye, dog headbutting my son and splitting his lip, son accidentally slapping me so hard on the bum it bruised, daughter not sleeping due to hot muggy weather, dog having some random accident and hurting his bum, dog being scared of a giant bubble blower my daughter bought and ran around like a loon for a whole day because of it, son accidentally clipping a clothes peg to my finger and causing a blood blister......you name it, it's all happened!!

Just an average week with the kids off from school lol ;o)

Well amongst all the chaos I did manage to get a few paintings done in those rare quiet moments, I have just listed these 5 items in my Etsy shop.

There are 2 new items which I love, they are the new fridge magnets which can be found in the Ornament section of my Etsy shop they are quite large for a fridge magnet at 14x7 cms, they are made of birch plywood and have 4 round magnets attached to the back that are fitted into pre drilled holes so they lie flat against your fridge/radiator/magnet board etc which is awesome in my opinion (for what it is worth)

I have painted up 2 of these so far but I will be painting plenty more in the future :o)

I am hoping to pop in and visit a few of my favourite blogs over the next couple of days and find out what you have all been up to.

Keep an eye out for next weeks blog update :o)
