Houses and new art work

So we want to move house.......We've been wanting to move house for a long time but now it just really has to happen. Our teeny tiny terraced house in the UK just isn't big enough for us anymore I need a proper space to work in rather than stealing the dining room and the kids have needed more functional bedroom spaces for a long time.
To move house we would need £20,000 - £30,000 at the very least, UK house prices are crazy and we are at the lowest level of housing at the moment, but it is something we really have set our hearts on and so it must happen somehow.

Before you read anymore....I am not asking for money :) ......I'm just having a rant ;)

So we are in the process of saving every last penny we have which means after our Christmas holiday this year. No more holidays or gifts or anything nice like ever, at all.....Uggghhhh!!!

We will be keeping to a strict budget in the hope that we will be able to leave in 2 years or at least have our house on the market for sale in 2017. We still have work to do on the house before we can sell it as well, it's an old house and there is always something more to do with old houses. Anyone else with an old house will know what it entails living with something built over 100 years's never easy!!

Anyone with any frugal tips please feel free to offer advice, all is welcome :)

Real life has a way of interrupting the niceties of blogging, and you gotta keep it real sometimes. I am going to be struggling with each day to save as much money as possible to move house, trying to keep positive and my head in the happy place but I can tell you it's not going to be easy.
I love my painty job and all that I do I just wish I had someplace quieter and more efficient to do it.

Ok enough ranting back to a more cheerful are some of my latest paintings, made this week :)

 Harmony.......8x10 inches on wood canvas

Magical things

It's been a ridiculously long time since I last blogged again so I'd better fill you in on what's been going on around here:
For the last few months I have been working on and I have just finished my latest online class 'Magical Things'

Which is now available for purchase here: MAGICAL THINGS

Also this year I was lucky enough to take part in Soul Food and Lifebook as a teacher and they were both truly wonderful experiences in which I have met so many new and fabulous people.

As many of you know already my beloved doggy Storm spent several months being very very poorly this year which was an emotional and worrying time for our family, he spent a lot of time resting in one of his favourite spots though and had lots of love and attention from us all so I am happy to say that he has now made a full recovery. *yay*

Storm thanks you all for the lovely well wishes he received :)

I hope to check in again with you all soon and not leave it so long in between posts this time.
Love and hugs
