Hello hello!! It's been a long time I know. First I was doing my first ever online class 'Paint Happy' then I started getting prepared for the next one 'Wilde and Free' (which 'fingers crossed' will be out at the end of the summer) and then I went away on my holidays (which was brilliant and sunny the whole time....amazing for the UK) so it sure has been longer than I had hoped for but I am here now. As well as the blogpost below about the new 'Soul food' online class I am going to be part of I also have something totally new and fun to show you which I hope you will love as much as I do.
As I had been painting up a storm with my girl's for the online classes, I started to feel the urge to paint something new in my journals......Anyone that has been following my blog for any length of time will know I like to mix it up a bit and get bored if I just paint the same thing all the time. So out came these quirky mixed up creatures, born from out of the ether and arriving here just for your amusement. These fun creatures have brought me a lot of joy over the past few weeks and what started off as just some journal fun has now become a missing part of me that I was looking for and didn't know it.
I will be painting plenty more of these quirky creatures to go in my etsy shop alongside my girl's as soon as I've finished filming for my next class. I somehow cannot imagine my life without them now, it's like they've been here all along. Funny how life throws these curve balls at you sometimes eh?
These one's here are just for show, I do hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
Feel free to pet them all you want, these guys like some good old fashioned loving and hugging ;)
24x11 inches on wood panel - Swim This Way
17x12 inches on solid wood panel - A tale of lost horns
The following are all painted on pages in my dylusions journal. All of them except the first one were done with limited arty supplies on holiday whilst gazing at the sea from the lovely holiday cottage we stayed in ;)
