It's friday.....yay!!!!!!

Not only is it Friday but it's also the last day of school for my kiddies and the start of their Easter holidays, so the next 2 weeks will be interesting to see how much painting I can get done with them home ;o)

Here are my paintings from this week, just listed in my Etsy shop

This little birdy is looking for someone to be friends with.
Painted on a chunky 6x6 inch canvas and with a small amount of pink glitter paint on the wings which doesn't show up in the photo's :o(

Friend:

Totally inspired by the colours in a necklace I favourited the other day on Etsy, this has to be the brightest painting I've done in a long time :o)

Hidden: SOLD

Loving these wood plaques, they are wonderful, chunky and a dream to paint on.

Awaken:

I've got a 'thing' for rainbows at the moment, probably because I feel I'm missing out as we've not had any spring rain at all this year in the UK and no rain means no rainbows, I'll just have to keep making my own ;o)

Joyful:

Yup it's another of my 'things' I never get tired of painting harlequin girlie's, this one is on an 8x8 inch cradled wood panel.

Graceful:

I have one more piccie for you guys to look at this week but it's not anything I created it's my mail art from the lovely Donna at 'so dark so cute'.

She made one of them for me for the big mail art swap I hosted but it got lost in transit and she kindly made me another one but guess what? that got lost too.
Finally the other day they both arrived at the same time and I had the pleasure of opening both of the wonderful packages, I am so glad they managed to find their way here and hope they had fun on their journey the little scamps ;o)

Donna I love them both and you can be sure I will take good care of them
Thank you sweetie x

I'm Back.........did you miss me?

Ok so you probably didn't even notice I was gone, I mean what's a week or 2 in blogland eh? ;o)

Well while I've been gone I have cleared out so much stuff from my art room and moved everything round so it is far better for working in, I have new storage baskets and a new lovely rug too.......the room still needs redecorating but that will come some other time now, it will be a lot of work when it does and will take up far more time than I have spare right now!!

Since I re-did my arty room the art has been pouring out of me and I have just listed these 10 items in my etsy shop.

Along with my usual canvas board paintings I have some on cradled wood boards (such a dream to paint on) and some new blank mini/pocket journals too.

I did have a bit of a minor glitch along the way with my email system crashing and when I tried to move to another system I lost a few hundred emails along the way, bit of a nightmare but all fixed now, so I won't complain :o)

Along with the new art for my etsy shop I have also (with the help of my lovely hubby) made a new blog/etsy banner and avatar based on one of my new paintings.....I hope you likey? ;o)

Anyway's enough of my waffle on with the art.......

Glad to be back ;o)

Change is good for the soul

It most definitely is a time for change, I will be taking the next couple of weeks off from blogging while I get some things sorted out.

The first change has been done this morning, I got rid of my facebook account's, I have neither the time or the inclination to carry on with them and I don't like to do something unless my heart is in it, my heart is most definitely not in it where facebook is concerned, I was much happier before signing up a few months back and it was quite freeing to hit the delete button this morning ;o)

Now all I have to do is sort out my art room.....it seriously needs some time thinking out how I do things and where the best place for my 'stuff' should be to make it easier to work in.
It's something that's been bugging me all winter but I didn't have the urge to get on with it and do it.
It's not something that can be done quickly and needs lots of thought.
Now it's spring and sunny (even if a bit cold still) I have an urge to make things better in my small arty room and hope it will help towards making my art flow easier.

So for now I say goodbye, but watch this space, before you've had chance to miss me.......I will be back ;o)

My etsy shop will be staying open and the sale I have on at the moment will continue for a couple of weeks (or until everything has sold lol)
