Hello, has it been a week already since I was last here?
Time sure is flying by.
It's been yucky horrid rainy and cold weather for the past week or 2 here in my part of the UK so I decided to paint some pretty flowers to remind me of the beauty that will arrive when the rain has passed and the sun rears it's head again.
There are only 3 paintings in my etsy shop this week as each one of these was quite labour intensive.
These 3 ladies are all painted on cradled wood panels, my favourite thing to paint on and 2 of them have pretty decorated sides too.
I hope you like them :o)
This one is my favourite of the week (but shush don't tell the others ;o)
I love pretty wildflowers, growing wherever they please, they always seem more cheerful than carefully planted flowers.
The Botanist's Daughter:
Ok so this one is not a flowery garden but the sea floor is as much a garden as any grassy/earthy type ;o)
Gifts from the sea:
I love poppies and the fields where I walk my doggies will be full of them soon, I can't wait :o)
The poppy garden:
Here's hoping the weather is nicer soon, especially as my lovely blog friend Jenny is visiting the UK and we wouldn't want rubbish weather for her coming over, my fingers are crossed Jenny, I hope you have a wonderful time in Yorkshire x

Hi, Micki.
ReplyDeleteI think your paintings are beautiful, they look so soft and the flowers are so beautiful and nicely done.
Thank you x
DeleteThe colours on the Poppy Garden are beautiful and I love the girls expression, I adore your girl's faces! x
ReplyDeleteThank you x
DeleteI love these and it's so funny because I said exactly the same thing about wild flowers in my blog post too! The middle one of yours is my favourite too, although they're all lovely. Beautifully drawn Micki! :)
ReplyDeleteJess xx
Lol Jess, I just read what you wrote on your blog too, we are wild flower twins ;o)
DeleteThese are stunning Micki...I love how you do your florals. The last painting is the one that sings to me most...must be those poppies. I can't help but thing of the poppy scene in The Wizard of Oz..which of course is a very Kansas movie which is where I live.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great visit with your friend!
xoxo
So beautiful, your paintings. Each one is different and unique and you know what? I love them all ;-) If I had to pick a favourite, it would be the one with the poppies, love those flowers and their bright color!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gobsmackingly gorgeous! I adore all of them. :) will email you tonight :)))
ReplyDeleteI'll take your rain and trade you our extremely (can't drive without AC) hot weather! I hate the heat. Rain is such a nice excuse for me not to feel guilty about just painting all day :)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Micki, these girls are just beautiful...I love the backgrounds, the way you paint flowers...and those faces, those fabulous faces!!!
You are my art hero you know ;P
Micki, I LOVE these! Your art has evolved over the years so beautifully...I never can pick a favorite, I love them all! xo
ReplyDeleteOh beautiful, I like them all and the one with the jellyfish is my favourite.

ReplyDeleteI love your art!!! All the three paintings speaks to my heart, but the first one take it to the point...no wonder that it is already sold!
ReplyDeleteThey are all just beautiful, Micki! And we got the rain and cold today. Maybe some snow, but I hope not.
ReplyDeleteDear Micki,
