I am posting here my Etsy shop Christmas opening times as I will not be having my shop open for long during the Christmas period and wanted you all to be the first to know.
My Etsy shop will be closing from December the 5th until January 2nd so that leaves only 3 more weeks that it will be open for, if there is something you have your eye on you can have it put on reserve to pay later if you can't afford it now, just send me an etsy convo and I will happily do that for you :o)
Ok now on to this weeks paintings:
A couple of these paintings are painted from an emotional state of mind still thinking about Dunc and the grief I have been feeling and the others have more of a positive outlook, with affirmations written on them, looking towards the future. (you can tell my head is still messy right now)

I love this one, the textures are fabulous.
Deep in thought:
This one is black and white, even though the photo makes it look a little bluey tinged.
Strength:
This one has a poem written on the front which you can see when you are up close to it, but from a distance blends into the background.
Go Softly:
Poem on painting:
Trying to be positive.
Never stop dreaming:
Wonderful textures on a wood box canvas that my hubby made :)
She believed she could:

Love them and love the poem:O) Sending hugs:O)
ReplyDeleteI was so sad to click on She Believed She Could and find that it was sold... : (

ReplyDeleteWow Micki, your work is so beautiful. It seems the more work I see the more work I want. I really like this style. I see your shop will be closed for 3 weeks, will you still be creating your usual stunning work and posting on your blog. I may start suffering from withdrawals if I have to go 3 weeks without my 'weekly Secret Hermit' check in. He he he he.
ReplyDeleteNow to a favorite. I think this weeks fav would have to be 'strength', although it was a tough decision again. Big hugs,
Kyles xo

These art pieces are filled with emotion, they are very powerful, yet subtle at the same time. The colours are uncomplicated and you have used them so well to portray your feelings.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness I absolutely LOVE 'Go Softly' It's my favourite one that you've made so far! You must have had a magical hand helping you while you were writing and painting, I am convinced of it.♥ :)
