Bringing some whimsy back

Hmmm lots to say this week so i'll jump right in.

This week I decided to bring a little whimsy back in to my paintings, they have all been quite dark over the past few weeks and I have been missing some pretty in my work, I hope you will like them :o)

Next week is my last week of painting before I shut up my etsy shop for Christmas and I will be working on some wood pieces instead of my usual canvas boards, I am really looking forward to working on wood again as it has been quite a while since I last did.

Over the past week I have had a few emails from blog peeps asking what I will be doing in the 3 weeks that I am not working on stuff for my etsy shop, well I think you know me by now, I won't be slacking off and taking any rest that's for sure ;o)
I will still be updating my blog on a weekly basis but I will be posting piccies of all the mail art pieces I will be making ready for the swap in January. so keep an eye out for those.

I updated my etsy shop yesterday afternoon lowering all the prices on my older work, I would love for them to find happy homes.

Well that's enough waffling from me now, here are this week's paintings as always available now in my etsy shop  enjoy :o)


This one is a 12x10 inch canvas board, I am really enjoying working on this size of board at the moment, I will be buying plenty more boards in this size ready for the new year I think :o)

Courage:

I'm just a little bit head over heals in love with this girl, her eyes have me mesmerized.

Secret garden:

I love polkas and this colour sceme makes me very happy indeed.

Make a wish:

I love the rawness of this girl's face and hair, I wish my garden was this pretty at midnight ;o)

Midnight Garden:

This one is my attempt at being a little Christmassy without being 'in your face' with it, I do hope you like her as much as I do.

Fly with me:

Well that's all for this week, keep an eye out for next week's paintings all on wood for a change.

  6. Love them. Gorgeous as always Micki. My favs this week would have to be 'Make a wish' and 'Fly with me'. Man...... You have to be quick If you want to buy your work. The favs always fly out the door of your etsy shop.

  22. Your art is wonderful, there is an edge to it, an emotion that peeks out, that hints, makes you ponder and stay just that bit longer with each piece, it speaks but mostly it makes me think.
