I have just listed these 2 paintings in my Etsy shop, I decided to challenge myself this week with some different skintones as I had become a little bored with the ones I had been doing, I hope you like them :o)
MICKI they are so nice love them hope your children are feeling better me and raph have been really sick with the flu hes been off school for over a week its so depressing love xx
Ooooh interesting! I always find it quite scary to do something different to what I would usually do but I think you've nailed it. :) I especially like that second one. And how did you get that cool background texture?
Put wings or a fishy tail onto any girl...and I'm smitten! I don't care for the palette of the smile one....but I can appreciate the need to experiment! Then again, I've always leaned toward warmer color tones....
The fairy girl coloring is very nice....soft like flower petals....love the shading and subtle color in her dress, as well :)
I really admire how prolific you are....how you find the time is amazing!
I love your latest works! The smile on the first one is so cheeky--cute~ The texture is cool too. I laughed aloud at your comment on my blog! I, too, have a rather round plump belly, ha ha
I especially like the first one - her look is kind of - oh, I'm running out of English words, - sassy? Not really, there is something else there. Anyway, both are beautiful.
Micki, I think they are sooooooooo precious!! Love them!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely different, but still very sweet. You paint such storybook characters... I feel like a get a peek into their secret world.
