The end and the start

So it's that time of year again when you look back at what you've done and look forward to what is to come.

The past year for me has had it's ups and downs but at the end of the year I am better for living it and grow stronger because of it.

There are a lot of things I want to change in my life and 2011 is the start for me to do that, I like a challenge and look forward to the chance to change things for the better :)

I have as always been so very grateful for the chance to make and sell my art and my advice to anyone who wants to start out on their own creative journey is to just do it, follow your dreams and don't look back, keep moving forward and be honest to yourself about what you want out of your life, you are your own master, you choose your own path, look ahead and keep walking :)

I am so happy to be re stocking my etsy shop up, it was quite bare after the Christmas rush.

I have just listed the 3 canvasboard paintings in my etsy shop that I mentioned yesterday and also another small canvasboard painting and 3 aceo cards too ;0)

Etsy shop update

Well it still might be the festive season but I am not going to bore you with details of presents I received or family photos or my new years resolutions or anything like that, I am going to show you that I have not been slacking off work ;o)

I've had a great couple of days in the art studio and I have just re-opened my Etsy shop again and listed these 7 new paintings :)

I also have another 3 paintings just varnished that will be in my etsy shop tomorrow sometime.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays

Finally we are all happy and healthy again and ready for tomorrow's festivities :)

Thank you everyone who sent get well wishes, they were most appreciated!!

The kids are in bed, it's time for me and hubby to relax and watch a film with a sherry or 2!!

Tomorrow will be a great day as always, my mother in law cooks dinner for us every year so all I have to do is relax and eat food, sounds perfect to me ;o)

Thank you and shop update

Hello again, thank you all for your get well wishes for my daughter, she is still poorly but has started eating a little bit so hopefully she will get some energy back and be well again soon.

I have come down with a really sore throat and i'm hoping it stays at just that and doesn't turn into what Kayla has had.

We are having the first of our family Christmas get togethers on the 18th so I have decided to shut down my Etsy shop until after Christmas, it is going to be a busy time for us over the next 2 weeks :o)

I can still be contacted by email and etsy convo if needed to discuss any recent shop orders etc I will respond as quickly as possible and will be checking in on emails daily.

So what has Micki been up to then?

Hi guys I have been popping in on some of your blogs and commenting occassionally but I have been a tad preoccupied lately.

My daughter has been REALLY poorly with a flu/cough/fever thing now for a whole week, she is still no better than the first day she got it and I am getting quite worried about her, she isn't eating and she is super weak, I hate seeing her like this.

I havn't been able to do any new artwork but I have been able to catch up with some reading that I have been putting off for ages, some great new books that I bought for myself as a treat, they have come in handy while looking after Kayla as I could not get to the computer much, she's been like a little limpet and she hasn't let me leave her side all week poor kid.

I have been keeping up with all my shop orders,(even wrapping parcels at midnight some nights) thank you so much to those that have been purchasing, hugs for you all!!

If I don't get the chance before the big day, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I hope to be blogging again soon.

Where does the time go?

As many of you know I have been having a sale in my etsy shop, and thank you to all that have purchased so far, I truly appreciate it. (hugs you all x)

I originally said I was closing the sale on 6th december but I have decided to hold it open until the end of the year as it is time for these babies to find homes.

I have dropped the prices even more, to seriously silly ones in order for them to find a good home to go to, if they haven't found a home by the end of the month then they will not be available for sale any more and will be removed from my etsy shop before the new year starts.

If there is anything in my etsy shop you have your eye on but cannot afford at the moment, please do let me know as I am willing to reserve items for you at any time :)

I will still be adding new work to my etsy shop but it will be a bit sporadic as the festive season is upon us, I also won't be blogging as much until the festivities are over and done with but I will pop back in from time to time with new artworks to show you :)
