Hello beautiful bloggers, it is indeed me again for the second time today!!

About time too!!

I've been a tad slow on the uptake for halloween this year, I wasn't really feeling it until yesterday when this Kitty cat popped onto my canvas, now a few more characters seem to have reared their little heads out too, so i'll be showing those in a day or 2, for now here is my latest painting.

I have been added into lots of treasuries on Etsy lately which has been fabulous and is a great feeling when someone sends you a message to let you know.

I have been itching to curate one of my own, I finally found a few minutes to do one this afternoon, I hope you like it?

Back in action

Thank you guys so much for all your well wishes (yep even you Tracy lol)

I had a rough few days of it, nasty fever wouldn't go away, I still have a sneezy nose but nothing I can't handle :)

I totally dosed up on hot honey and lemon drinks, with the added bonus of ginger too, made me feel so much better, I don't think i've slept as much as in the past few days, day and night I was sleeping, on the bed, settee, floor, you name it I slept on it lol ah well I obviously work too hard and it caught up with me!!

I got back in the studio today and painted this little painting which already sold in my Etsy shop, so not a bad start for getting back to work eh?

Attack of the lurgy!!

uRggggg I am sick and I don't like it!!

I've had an on and off cold for the past week and today it turned nasty, i've been in bed all day with fever and shakes and aches and......well it's just yuck and I want it gone, anyone got any good fluey/cold remedies?

I am also loving orange and green together at the moment, this is the second painting within a week that I have done in those colours ;)

I've just done a little set of 3 paintings: 2 aceo cards and one canvas board called 'expressions' I was trying to get the right expression on the girl's faces for the word that goes on the painting, what do you think? did I manage it?

I know, I know it's too early for snow....but

There she was just wanting to be painted, how can I deny a face like that?

I tried to paint a baby, a plate of food and a bear in her hands instead but she wanted to hold a snowball, she kept telling me but I would't listen ;o)

So anyway here she is, I named her after one of the cutest winter films ever made 'The first snow of winter' I just changed it to snowball ;o)

Hula hoop

What little girl hasn't hula'd the hoop eh? my daughter loves her hula hoop, she even tried to hula hoop whilst using her skipping rope too one day during the holidays.(didn't quite work out though, not enough hands)

Her hoop has broken so many times, what used to be a pink shiny hoop is now a black covered in tape hoop, just to hold it together.

I once asked if she wanted a new hoop but she said "no, this one is perfect the way it is".....I love my daughter :o)

Before I show you my latest paintings I just want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Lisa Lectura for the wonderful package she sent me, I won her surprise giveaway on her blog and the goodies she sent were fabulous....I was a bad blogger and got over excited and forgot to take any piccies before opening, but I love everything (one of the things she sent me was a 'dream' stamp which features in the second painting I made today) and it was so prettily wrapped too, Thank you Lisa so very much x

Busy Busy

Phew...it all been a bit busy around the hermit house of late!!

I have been packing and preparing a heap of my tattooed lady postcards ready for a gallery show which starts on the 18th September and runs through to 31st October at the Shire hall gallery in Staffordshire Uk for the 'needles and pins' show all about tattooing and piercing etc

The kids have had a heap of things to do for school and i've been busy with some new ideas for paintings too, plus there is still house decorating stuff going on amongst all of this as well :)

Well now the kids are back at school, settled and happy, I have been able to start getting on with my long list of paintings I have been wanting to do, I have been playing with abstract/mixed media backgrounds and illustrations of flowers mixed together, I hope you like my first one, simply called... ONE ;)

Goodbye summer.

Me and the kids had a lovely day yesterday, it was their last day of summer holidays, the sun was shining and we spent most of the day in the garden, we came inside in the afternoon, the kids watched a film and I painted ;o) couldn't have asked for a nicer day really.

Then it all changed this morning...... back to school..... my 6 year old daughter was in my bed last night, not being able to sleep, she is always super nervous about change, she was a little bit stressed when we got to school, but no tears though.....phew!!

I'm hoping she has a nice day in her new class, I think she will like this new teacher more than her last one, she is younger, friendlier and most of all loves art ;o) in my daughters eyes the love of art is all that counts, lol !!

My 11 year old son was a bit nervous but not too bad, he loves school and always has, he'll be fine as soon as he gets back into his routine :)
