In the Bleak Midwinter

As you may have guessed already I am NOT loving this silly snow and ice we have in the UK right now!!
It may look all pretty from inside the house but when you are outside.....Not good!!
I fail to see how others can be happy in this weather, i'm officially having a grump ;o)

Anyway it is clearly affecting my artwork as the title of this piece shows :)

  2. Oh how I can relate to this darling bleak winter girl. I think winter is beautiful but my bod does not fare well in sub zero temps and we get plenty of them! If cold causes this kind of art to pour out of you, you will have a fine winter indeed! She's adorable!

  4. I think it is very damp in the UK, so even if you have the same temperature as we have in Canada, it would be bone-chilling...which is not so fun!
I can't remember, but didn't you get the worst winter ever last year?? All I know is that we got off really lucky, the least amount of snow in decades, while the rest of the world got buried under the white stuff.
hey at least you are creating cute girls, lol!

bundle up, stay inside, and sip tea :-)

  6. wow, this is so very striking and lovely! The starkness of the colors is beautiful. I'm sorry to hear you're having bad weather. But winter can be beautiful too! Just enjoy time to be nestled in! Spring comes eventually...

  7. Gordon Bennett, if you being miserable in winter means more art like this you can just stay cold ok. Yep.
I, and my children, absolutely 100% love this bleak mid winter girl.

  14. I love the painting!! Sorry to hear about the weather. We are lucky not to have snow where I live (we get ridiculously hot and miserable summers instead). I can imagine it would get tiring. Hang in there, and I hope you can stay warm! :) ~Lauren
