Sorry i've not been around much, kids have broken up for the holidays so i've not had much time to myself, plus we've had some bad news again.....Hubby was on only 90% pay at work for all of last year, he went back to full pay only a couple of months ago and now they've been told it's back to 90% again as the company is not doing as well as expected.....it's pretty hard times in this house, no family holiday this summer and we've had to cancel our wedding anniversary trip too, we'll be lucky if we can pay the mortgage at this rate, lots of yucky red bills and bank notes to come *sigh*
I'm not expecting sympathies from this post.....just venting in a public place, as you do ;-)
Hugs
Micki x
We sold our pop-up in order to stay afloat this summer and have some fun. I am currently helping a friend throw a rummage sale so she can make mortgage. Hard times. Sucks. Sorry you're feeling it too.
ReplyDeleteWe should figure out how to turn the bleh into creative inspiration. Good thing real success is not measured by money :)

ReplyDeleteVent away, times are rough all over the place and that's not nice. O well, I could buy one of your gorgeous journals, would that help ? Hold on, and enjoy the things you have, that's all the advice I can give you ....
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel... I am sure it will get better, xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm with you and Claire on this - it IS CRAP! We are the same - I do not work, hubby's pay has reduced ( but he works more hours) and no holiday at all. It sucks big time. Living cost a stinking amount of money.
ReplyDeleteSending you love and hugs. ♥
Hang in there Micki!
ReplyDeleteYikes - sorry to hear that. You are so not alone - and it does indeed suck. I think you should camp in the back garden because even simple silly things like that can be awesome and a whole lot of fun. I think there are some good books around about living on less money. And there is one about how to be idle and also 100 free things to do. If you want the links to these, let me know! I have them on my amazon wish list...for when I can afford them (the irony!!). Hang in there, lovely xx
ReplyDeleteIt does sounds like hard times, Hope things get a better turn soon for you and your family!
